This June, the beautiful Manoir La Croix de la Jugie, Limousin, launched their first post-natal retreat. The idyllic 18th century manor house will play host for a week for the whole family to getaway.
For new mums, finding time to exercise and spend some precious moments on yourself is difficult to say the least, so the La Jugie experience gives mums some of this me time back, while dads enjoy quality time with the little one. A tailored programme of two exercise sessions a day has been created for the mums to do on the retreat, by PT and post-natal exercise expert Caroline Bragg. It includes cardio, dance and aerobic workouts, toning exercises and lower impact stretching and Pilates.
The surroundings and facilities at La Jugie are stunning, the manor is a luxurious hideaway, with just 8 bedrooms, a swimming pool and 6 acres of grounds. Being owned by East end dweller and new mum Clio Wood, better known as Clio The Muse, the house is decorated in her beautiful style.
Being a new parent, Clio understands all of the elements that a family with baby need to be truly looked after and to feel relaxed. To give you both a break from the cooking, all of your meals are included, made using local ingredients. As well as cheeses and some cheeky wine of course.
Bookings for the retreat are open now. Delicious food, sunshine, family time and a chance to get in shape? How many more reasons do you need…
